California Early Start 2016 Central Directory of Early Intervention Resources

The newly updated California Early Start 2016 Central Directory of Early Intervention Resources lists more than 800 state and local resources that provide early intervention services to eligible infants and toddlers and their families (download here).

The statewide system of early intervention services known as Early Start can be accessed through regional centers, county offices of education, local school districts, health or social service agencies, and family resource centers and networks in your area.

Early intervention and related services and resources, with complete contact information, include the following:

  • California Department of Developmental Services
  • Regional centers
  • Family resource centers and networks
  • California Departments of Education, Special Education, Child Development, and State Special Schools and Services Divisions
  • Special education local plan areas (SELPAs)
